This Power Point slide show is a comic about a young woman named Carleigh, whose mutant power increases the natural and superhero abilities of anyone who's in her line of sight.

 A reluctant hero, Carleigh is dragged along on dangerous missions with two professional superheroes who need her ability-boosting powers to help them save the day. 

For this project, I did the entirety of the writing, art, and comics creation.

In addition to writing games, I am also proficient at writing and researching informational copy. My article, "A Brief History of Manga," is part of the course content for Smithsonian's edX course, The Rise of Superheroes and Their Impact On Pop Culture. Taught by Dr. Michael Uslan and Dr. Christopher Robichaud, and featuring Stan Lee as well as many other industry greats, the Superheroes course is a celebration of the history of comics and an exploration of the intersection of the superhero stories we know and love, with the influences of society. Thousands of students from around the world have connected through this course both online and off to share their art, research, and passion for comics.
